The Star Movie Night

I saved The Star for our last movie night before Christmas. I wanted us to be focused on the true meaning of Christmas as we head into the hustle and bustle of the next few days.

We started off today with a little nativity snack, and as we placed each item on our plate we read the scriptures that went along with it. I got the idea here and there is a cute little printable that goes along with it as well! I just pulled it up on my phone and we read the scriptures together.

I read "Room for A Little One" as the kids ate. After our snack, I hid all of the pieces of our Little People nativity set around the living room. They found all of the pieces and we talked about who they were and placed them in our nativity. Then we read "The Night Before Jesus", before we put on the movie!

After we watched the movie, we made a handprint/footprint canvas and decorated cupcakes. We sang happy birthday to Jesus and enjoyed one of our cupcakes!

It was a fun day, and I hope it helps them remember the reason for the season. Thank you Lord, for your Son!
