Home Alone Movie Night
We kicked off the Christmas movie season tonight with Home Alone! This one is hilarious when you have a 6 year old boy in the house. 😂
For any movie night, you gotta have some decor, right? I made this "Merry Christmas, ya filthy animal" banner and put it up on the fireplace.
We started our afternoon going to play outside. The kids defended their "household" from "the Wet Bandits" (the parents 😆).
After we played, we came in and decorated Christmas sweater cookies, very à la Kevin McCallister, 1900s. They were a kit from Walmart, and super fun to decorate! I also found a Home Alone maze, and they did that while I set up the cookies. Nolan LOVES mazes, so he was super excited!
We also made spider cookies, like Buzz's tarantula in the movie! We had fun putting them on our faces and making the Marv face. 😂
After that, we popped some popcorn, ordered pizza, and started the movie!
We of course had pizza ("A lovely cheese pizza, just for me!") and microwave Mac and cheese ("Bless this highly nutritious microwavable macaroni and cheese dinner and the people who sold it on sale. Amen.") for dinner, and then finished off the night with some ice cream sundaes ("Guys, I'm eating junk and watching rubbish! You better come out and stop me!")
Super fun and easy movie night! And the bonus is hearing your kids CACKLE at the Wet Bandits. 😂
