Nora Jean turns TWO!

It has been quite a while since I have written a blog post. As most of you probably know, we found out we were expecting again 6 months after Nora was born. We welcomed her little sister, Molly Morgan, into our family in January. It’s been a busy and wonderful year adjusting to having two children at home. It’s also been hard lots of days because there should be three.

I have struggled a lot with my grief this last year. Part of me feels like I shouldn’t hurt as much, because after all, I gained what I’d lost, right? We lost a baby girl, but now we have another baby girl. But that’s not the way it works and anyone who’s been in this kind of a situation can tell you that. Children cannot be replaced. My heart grew a third time for Molly; she didn’t replace the void left from my second child.

Nora is about to be TWO! It’s so hard to believe. Time just keeps marching on. In honor of her 2nd birthday, I would love for friends and family to commit acts of kindness in her honor again. I am attaching a link to the cards we used last year, if you’d like to print them off to attach to any act of kindness you do. You can tag me on social media or use the hashtag #RAKforNJC. I cannot explain how it warmed my heart to see kindness being spread along with our girl’s name and story. Feel free to use the month of November to spread her story (November 6th is her birthday), and join the Facebook event to share your acts of kindness.

Thank you for loving us these last two years. Thank you for continuing to pray for our family.
